The Value of Balance

Sponsored by the GBN Student Assistance Program (SAP) team  

 

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) invites parents to join us for coffee to discuss the value of and strategies to achieve life balance.

 

Ryan Earl, Ph.D, AMFT, Faculty member in Marriage and Family Counseling at Northwestern, will discuss recognizing values and how those values drive decision making. He will present on child and parent dynamics and how to align values as well as talking points for parents to have with their teens.

 

Eric Etherton, Assistant Principal of Student Services and Ann Gebhardt, GBN Guidance Counselor, will address how to find the balance in regards to each students’ academic and extracurricular commitments.

 

They will discuss strategies for prioritizing commitments in an effort to make time for finding your passions.

They will also provide information about resources available through GBN and who to contact if you are concerned about your student.
